None, perhaps, have been quite like Cowgirl, who was one of those rare dogs with whom, if we're lucky, we share our lives for a time.

But love came galumphing in with big Maddux and little Krispin; and, of course, there's Hansa and Cowboy and the rest of the pack of hunting GWPs that are Simone's pride and joy.
