The Art Renewal Center   Considering how long art has been dying of the excrescences produced by the likes of Christo, Jackson Pollock and Picasso, it's about time for the brilliance of Gerome, Leighton, Bouguereau  and a forgotten host of others to come back to light and revive it.  I, personally, can do without being told that art is a bottle of urine with an image of Christ in it, or miles of cloth obscuring the awesome beauty of nature.

Black Mask   Free books, no longer protected by copyright, to download.  Tons of them.  A book lover's wildest dream provided you don't insist on the latest thing hot off the presses.  No Harry Potter.
Perseus   For the erudite, the over-educated and anyone who loves delving in the literature of the past.  If you've been wondering where you could read Xenophon in the original Greek, here's the place to do it.

Okay, so I lied. There's a dog up there and here's the best source of information on dog training and behavior on the web.  If you have a dog, you can't miss Suzanne's article "He Just Wants to Say, Hi!", to learn why your dog may not appreciate someone letting their pooch get in his face and why he's not the one who needs a talking to.
The Nincompoop Prize   This is too good.  I was wandering around the enormous Art Renewal site and fell over this article.  It's happening man, to quote almost anyone who ever picked up a guitar in the '60s.  People are starting to notice and
comment on
the fact that the emperor is walking around buck naked.
Truthfully, now, which do you like better...this?
