This
is a small, low volume, information heavy list for people who have,
or have had, dogs with tick disease.

To
subscribe, send your email to: LISTSERV@APPLE.EASE.LSOFT.COM
Send in plain
text.
Do not
put anything in the subject line or your email will be rejected by
ListServ.
This
is not the email address for Tick List. It is an address for
the server which you use to subscribe to the list.
In
the body of your email put: SUBSCRIBE TICK-L Your Name (Where
your name replaces those words, of course. <g>)
Do
not
sign it and do
remove any automatic signature. ListServ is a machine, an
automated server, that will interpret anything other than your
command to subscribe you to the list as unintelligible nonsense and
will throw your email out, so put nothing
but Subscribe Tick-L and your name in there.
You
should get back an email asking you to confirm your subscription.
Once you confirm, you'll get a Welcome message. Save it! It
has information you need, such as how to go on digest or leave the
list.

to make you type it out and replace the 'at' with '@', but with all
the spambots trawling for email addresses from websites, I would
rather avoid getting any more spam than I already do. I doubt
Listserv will have any problem bouncing spam right back where it
came from so that link is good to go.
