Twelve Paws ~ the Minden Chows
Not a Chow Chow & not sure about that.
Miss Kelly Samuels, age 7 months.
Winnie, age 13, having breakfast in bed.

Yes, that really is a hunk of raw chicken she's working on.  <g>
Mindy Fenton Samuels & Winnie
If you're ever planning to be washed up on a desert island, you'd better take Mindy Fenton Samuels along.  Not only is she one of the nicest, wisest and funniest people around, she can do anything from grooming a trio of Chows to preparing gourmet meals and make it all sound easy.  Her 'girls' have got to be some of the luckiest dogs going to have found her.

Dennis and Kelly would certainly agree that Mindy is the greatest.  They seem to agree on most things.  <g>
Bekki, age 12.
Maggie, age 15.
Winnie, Maggie and Bekki, the Minden Chows, are all rescues and living proof what love and care and understanding can do for dogs that didn't have the best beginnings in life.  And they are great companions for the newest member of the Samuels family.

Maggie is the grand dame of the family and recently came through an operation for cancer as if she were a pup, which Mindy attributes mainly to the raw diet which has kept her dogs healthy and active way beyond the years most Chows ever attain.  Mindy is such a firm believer in feeding raw meat and bones to her Chows that she's put up a great website to help anyone who's interested learn how and why they should feed raw.

Can you believe that someone abandoned such a beautiful dog?  But Dennis and Mindy have more than made it up to her and the rest of their girls.
